Since the public release of The Vision Therapist's Toolkit, we have been asked to present at the 27th and 29th Annual California Regional Vision Therapist's Forum held in San Diego, California. We have also presented the Developmental Optometric message to parents' groups, OTRs, Speech Therapists both here in the USA, Singapore and the Philippines. We enjoy training those new and established therapists in the profession, and educating the public about vision issues. | IRENE WAHLMEIER - 2003 COVT of the Year Award and 1993 winner of the Lora McGraw Award. Irene was a school teacher in both Colorado and California before embarking on her career as a vision therapist. Her interest in vision therapy was the result of her autistic daughter performing a program of vision therapy. Irene is very active in the optometric community contributing articles to both COVD and OEP, as well as working with P.A.V.E. and chairing a macular degeneration support group in Reno, Nevada. She is the President of Shoestring Vision Solutions, Inc.

TOM HEADLINE - Tom embarked on his career as a vision therapist after going through the program as a patient. Tom is based in San Jose, California. He works with both Dr. Carole Hong in San Carlos, California and for Dr. Kristy Remick in El Dorado Hills, California. He has worked for Dr. Bradford G. Murray in San Jose, California as Director of the vision therapy program. Tom performs numerous speaking engagements both locally and internationally for homeschool groups, teacher in-services and other community organizations about vision and its vital role in the learning process. He has also served eight years as Managing Editor for OEP's Eye to Eye paraoptometric newsletter. He graduated from San Jose State University with his Bachelor of Science in Business Finance. He received his status of Certified Optometric Vision Therapist (COVT) from the College of Optometrists in Vision Development in 2005. He also started the company, HEADLINE VISION ENTERPRISES, which also produces versatile and affordable vision therapy materials. In October 2006, Tom was awarded the Certified Optometric Vision Therapist of the Year Award. In April 2009, he was awarded the Lora McGraw Award. Lastly, he is the Treasurer of Shoestring Vision Solutions, inc.

VICKI BEDES - Vicki began her career training under one of the pioneers of Behavioral Optometry, the great Dr. Leonard Emery. During her career, she too has performed numerous speaking engagements with school districts and professional groups about the importance of vision. In addition, she and Dr. Kristy Remick co-authored the book entitled, EYES ON TRACK: A MISSING LINK TO SUCCESSFUL LEARNING, which provides in depth explanations about vision and its affect on learning as well as simple visual procedures which can be implemented by a classroom teacher. Furthermore, she is the 2005 winner of the prestigious Lora McGraw Award. She obtained the status of Certified Optometric Vision Therapist (COVT) from the College of Optometrists in Vision Development in 2005. She is currently serving as the Vision Therapy Manager for Dr. Kristy Remick in El Dorado Hills, California, and also serves as Secretary of Shoestring Vision Solutions, inc.
